Despite the Netherlands’ challenging position at the bottom with only two wins, they aim to secure a top-eight finish for a spot in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan. Edwards described Virat as a crucial wicket, noting his remarkable consistency in guiding India through run-chases.
Edward remaked: “Virat Kohli is a massive wicket. In chasing totals, he has been so consistent for India throughout the years. You got to get him out early.”
Referring to Virat as arguably the ‘Greatest of All Time,’ the Netherlands skipper remarked, “He’s someone everyone looks up to.”
Opener Vikramjit added, “Who wouldn’t adore Virat? Everyone does. He moves like poetry.”
Virat leads as India’s top scorer in CWC 2023, amassing 543 runs in eight matches with an impressive average of 108.60, including two centuries and four fifties. His highest score is 131.
