Team India skipper Rohit Sharma rolled his arm over during the net session ahead of the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh, which is set to take place on Thursday, October 19 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. He bowled a few overs to all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja during the session.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared snippets from Team India’s training session. The video featured Rohit Sharma bowling off-spin in the nets to Ravindra Jadeja. The Indian skipper bowled a few overs after finishing his practice and also induced a couple of false shots. Rohit Sharma bowled off-spin during his early days, and then later became a batter. He has taken 11 wickets in International cricket for Team India. However, due to an injury, he stopped bowling, as it also affected his batting.

Rohit Sharma eyes AB de Villiers, Brian Lara’s World Cup runs tally

Team India skipper Rohit Sharma has a terrific record at the ICC ODI World Cups. He has scored 1195 runs at an average of 66.38, and a strike rate of 101.96. He is just 13 runs away from going past AB de Villiers in the list of most runs scored at the ODI World Cups. AB de Villiers has scored 1207 runs and is fifth on the table. Meanwhile, Brian Lara is fourth with 1225 runs.

Talking about the ongoing edition, Rohit Sharma has scored 217 runs at an average of 72.33 and a strike rate of 141.83. He slammed a stunning century against Afghanistan, scoring 131 runs in 84 deliveries, including sixteen boundaries and five sixes. He also followed up with an 86-run knock against Pakistan in the next game.
