Team India cricketer Virat Kohli impressed one and all with his bowling in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 against the Netherlands on Sunday, November 12 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Chennai. He also dismissed the Netherlands skipper, Scott Edwards, adding another dismissal to his International wickets tally.

Virat Kohli came to bowl in the twenty-third over of the innings. He conceded seven runs off his first over and followed it up with a wicket in the second over. Kohli bowled a wide delivery to Scott Edwards on the third delivery of the over. Edwards tried to glace away the ball, however, he was strangled down the leg-side. KL Rahul caught the ball to send Edwards back to the hut for just 17 runs off 30 deliveries.

Scott Edwards’ dismissal is Virat Kohli’s fifth wicket in One-Day Internationals. He has an economy rate of 6.18 in the format. Meanwhile, Kohli has also taken four wickets in T20Is for India and four wickets in the Indian Premier League as well.

Virat Kohli slams continues brilliant form in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023

Team India batter Virat Kohli continued his outstanding form in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. He slammed a half-century against the Netherlands on Sunday at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Chennai. This is Virat Kohli’s fifth half-century in the ongoing tournament. He has also slammed two centuries and has an average of 99. Kohli has scored 594 runs in nine matches. He is the leading run-scorer so far in the tournament. Overall, he has scored 1624 runs at an average of 58.00 in four ODI World Cups. He has four centuries and eleven fifties in the tournament. The veteran is third on the list of most runs scored in ODI World Cups, behind Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting.
