Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer engaged in banter with Ex-English skipper Michael Vaughan after England defeated Bangladesh on Wednesday, in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, Super 12 stage.

The Eoin Morgan-led team, continued their winning run in the tournament as they won the match by 8-wickets chasing Bangladesh’s 125 runs target. Wasim Jaffer posted a tweet praising the three lions for their “clinical” win. He also tagged Michael Vaughan in the tweet, asking the ex-skipper, if England is the favourite to win the cup.

Jaffer wrote, “Another clinical win by @ECB_cricket. They look so strong at the moment. England favourites to win the cup @MichaelVaughan? #EngvsBan #T20WorldCup2021.”

Replying to Wasim Jaffer’s tweet, Michael Vaughan poked fun at the former Indian cricketer predicting that Pakistan is the favourite to win the championship, as they defeated India. He wrote, “Pakistan after they hammered the outright favourites India Wasim ..,”

Taking the banter forward, Wasim Jaffer shared a meme to express what the Pakistan team would say after reading Vaughan’s tweet.

England register their second win in ICC T20 World Cup 2021

England

England is currently leading Group A with four points in two matches. They registered their second victory in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 on Wednesday. Bowling first, England restricted Bangladesh to 124 runs in 20 overs. Tymal Mills was the pick of the bowlers with 3/27 in his quota of four overs. Liam Livingstone and Moeen Ali picked two wickets each, with Chris Woakes scappling one wicket.

In reply to Bangladesh’s 124, England chased down the score in 14.1 overs. Opener Jason Roy and Dawid Malan put together a 73-runs stand for the second wicket partnership to help England get past the target. Dawid Malan remained not out on 28 runs, while Jason Roy was awarded the Player of the Match for his 61 off 38 balls.
