The ICC T20 World Cup 2021 is underway in the UAE with teams like Pakistan and England winning all their games played so far. Pakistan eventually have won both their games. Meanwhile, India, and New Zealand, West Indies and Bangladesh have lost their respective first games. Meanwhile, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag was chosen by a fan on picking his winner for the tournament. 

On the latest episode of Virugiri Dot Coma fan asked former Indian opener Virender Sehwag who will win the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Virender Sehwag promptly suggested that despite their loss to Pakistan, India are still the favourites to win the tournament. 

“According to me, it’s Team India who will win this T20 World Cup,” Virender Sehwag said. “They’ll only have to play better cricket here onwards. We always cheer for our team when it wins but when it loses we have to support it even more. So, I believe that India can win the T20 World Cup.”

Pakistan Almost Through To The Semifinals: Virender Sehwag

Pakistan beat New Zealand in Sharjah last night

Sehwag further said that by winning their first two games, Pakistan have already made it through to the semi-finals. They have matches against Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia to follow. 

“With this win, the chances of Pakistan going to semis are almost certain because their matches are against Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia,” Sehwag said. “Even if they win their next two matches, they will qualify for the semifinals.”

Pakistan will play their next match against Afghanistan on October 29 in Dubai, while India and New Zealand will clash at the same venue on October 31.

Meanwhile, this was India’s first loss to Pakistan in the T20 World Cups after five wins on the trot. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan batted India out of the game in the chase.
