This ICC T20 World Cup 2021 was not exciting for many, the pitches were dry in UAE and not many matches were high-scoring games. What makes it more disappointing is, teams like India and West Indies underperformed to their ability and could not pass the group stage this time.
Teams like Pakistan and South Africa Surprisingly had a great run in this mega event. South Africa doing well in an ICC tournament was a bit unusual but was great to watch them play good cricket throughout their group stage. However, the men in yellow team Australia led by Aaron Finch had their hands on their maiden T20 World Cup trophy. It was a bit disheartening to see Australia not having a T20 World Cup trophy in their cabinet but finally, it did happen right for them.

During the final between Australia and New Zealand, Aaron Finch and his men looked dominant and possessive from ball one right till the end. It was Kane Williamson for New Zealand to take them to a decent total scoring 85. However, David Warner And Mitchell Marsh stole the show from the blackcaps in no time. Australia won the match comfortably in the end.
Some of the players in this edition of the T20 World Cup completely surprised their opposition with their skillset and sudden rise in form. Players like Adam Zampa and Mohammad Rizwan. Cricket Expert and commentator Harsha Bhogle picks his best playing X1 from the tournament. Surprising to see no Indian in the list as the Indian players didn’t perform to their ability.
Harsha Bhogle’s Team: Babar Azam, Jos Buttler, Charith Asalanka, Aiden Markram. Shoaib Malik, Moeen Ali, Wanindu Hasaranga, David Wiese. Shaheen Afridi, Josh Hazlewood, Anrich Nortje.
