ICC T20 World Cup 2021: Watch: Asghar Afghan Given A Guard Of Honour By Afghanistan Players Against Namibia

Former Afghanistan skipper Asghar Afghan is playing his last international match for his country. Afghan has decided to retire from the game after this game against Namibia. Its a must-win game for the side to stay in the contest in the T20 World Cup. Asghar came out to bat in the 10th over after the fall of Rahmanullah Gurbaz who was dismissed for just four.

Afghanistan won the toss and opted to bat. Meanwhile, Afghan was given a guard of honour as he walked out to bat. It was an emotional moment for the former skipper who made his international debut back in 2009. The 33-year-old played six Tests, 114 ODIs and will bring curtains to his career with 75 T20Is. He’s scored 4215 runs across formats and led Afghanistan in 115 matches.
