ICC T20 World Cup 2021: Watch: Rohit Sharma’s Epic Reaction After Seeing Journalists In The Press Conference Room

Virat Kohli led India to register their first win of this ICC T20 World Cup 2021, by beating Mohammad Nabi’s Afghanistan by 66 runs on Wednesday (3 Nov). The men in blues and its players have received a lot of hatred from the cricketing world after the poor performances against Pakistan and New Zealand.

India’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma as soon as he entered, looked at the journalists and started counting them and was happy to see them. It made for a hilarious moment as Rohit Sharma gets excited in the press conference.

Incidentally, ever since the COVID-19 started, the cricketers only attended virtual press conferences. This is the first tournament where a physical press conference has been setup.

The Indian opening pair of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma were excellent against Afghanistan after being under pressure for not performing in the first two matches India played which were one of the major drawbacks of the loss. The Indian bowling group was also on their mark as they departed the Afghanistan batsmen quickly.

Ravichandran Ashwin’s Spell Was Sensational: Aakash Chopra

Kohli Ashwin

Aakash Chopra pinpointed to Ravichandran Ashwin’s spell on his return to white-ball cricket. Back in the T20I team after 2017, Ashwin bowled a spell of 2/14 without conceding any boundary.

“We saw Jaddu and Ashwin playing together in blue clothing after a long time. Both bowled very well. Ashwin’s spell was sensational. The numbers are worth talking about. Ashwin gave just 14 runs in four overs and took two wickets” said Chopra.

“Shami had three wickets in his kitty. He got hit a little but Shardul Thakur actually got hit a lot. That’s a question now you will have to start answering, whether you should play the third spinner instead of Shardul,” he added.
