Pakistan were eliminated from the ICC T20 World Cup after losing to Australia in the semi-final clash. The Aussies earned an emphatic victory and advanced through to the final. They will face New Zealand in the summit clash on November 14 in Dubai. Both teams are eyeing their first T20 World Cup title.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s loss in the semi-final left many of their fans devastated and shocked. They were unbeaten in the lead-up to the semi-final and lost the knockout game to exit the tournament. In a viral video, a young kid named Saleh is seen to be shedding tears after seeing his side lose the semi-final.
He almost breaks the television while venting his anger out at the team for their loss. His parents sitting close to him tried making him calm, however, he was way too sad and broken.
Hasan Ali’s Drop Catch Proves Costly For Pakistan
After getting a life in the 19th over of the chase, Matthew Wade three back to back sixes to help Australia beat the opposition in an epic contest. Hasan Ali dropping Wade became the talking point of the contest as reactions came pouring in and the Pakistan pacer was trolled badly.
Wade played a cameo of 41 in 17 balls and along with Marcus Stoinis added an 81-run stand together to take their side home. The southpaw, in the post-match presentation, spoke about preempting his scoop shots towards the short side of the boundary.
“Absolutely (preempted the scoops). I was talking to Stoinis at the other end and tried to work out what they’re doing. I got a little more pace on than expected, I probably could have used it a little bit earlier, but yeah.. glad to get a couple at the end. There wasn’t a lot of chat before I went in as we lost quick wickets. But when I got out there, Me and Marcus had batted together in the first game and got some momentum today as well. I was a bit unsure but Marcus showed me the way out. There was one short side and I was confident that if I had to target that then I could pull it off, but it got down to two-a-ball and you had to hit everything in your arc” said Wade.
