During the match between Bangladesh and Nepal in Kingstown on a Sunday, Tanzim Sakib, a bowler from Bangladesh, was fined 15% of his match fee by the ICC for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct.
It was found that Bangladeshi bowler, Tamzim Sakib, had violated Article 2.12 of the ICC Code of Conduct which deals with contact, with individuals involved in international matches like players, umpires and officials.
The incident took place during the third over of Nepals innings when Sakib had a disagreement with Nepals captain, Rohit Paudel. However Paudel mentioned during the match press conference that there were no ongoing issues between them and commended Sakib for his performance.
Sakib was reported by on field umpires Ahsan Raza and Sam Nogajski along, with umpire Jayaraman Madanagopal and fourth umpire Kumar Dharmasena. Sakib admitted to the wrongdoing and consequences, making a formal hearing unnecessary.

The 21-year-old player shone as the best bowler in a key game against Nepal, with stats of 4 overs, 7 runs, and 4 wickets while Bangladesh defended their score of 106 runs. Mustafizur Rahman managed to secure three wickets, whereas Shakib Al Hasan also chipped in with two, assisting in getting Nepal all out for 85 runs.
Bangladesh will now progress to the Super 8 round, where they will face off against Afghanistan, Australia, and India. The initial game they will play is against Australia on June 21 in Antigua.
Under the captaincy of Najmul Hossain Shanto, the sub-continent team experienced just one loss in the group stage, which was a narrow four-run defeat against South Africa. The Bangladeshi captain will be under scrutiny as he has had difficulties with his batting.
