The International Cricket Council announced match officials for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 to be played in the West Indies and USA from 2nd June to 29th June. It will feature a total of 55 matches in 28 days across nine venues across the West Indies and the United States of America. The tournament will see a total of 20 teams taking part with 5 groups with 4 teams each.
The tournament will see elite umpires including Richard Illingworth, Kumar Dharmsena, Chris Gaffney, and Paul Reifel.
“Within the selected cohort, we have a complement of experienced match officials and other high-performing members who have been recognized for their strong and consistent performances. The throughput from the pathway program will continue to see the development and emergence of high-quality match officials across the game.
“With 20 teams and 55 matches played over 28 days, this will be the biggest T20 World Cup ever and we are proud of the team we have assembled. We are confident that our officials will perform strongly.
It promises to be an exciting tournament with four of them making their debuts as umpires in a major event.
Umpires List For the ICC T20 World Cup 2024
The International Cricket Council named the best umpires to feature in the 20-team tournament to be played in the West Indies and the United States of America starting from 2nd June onwards. This tournament would feature many good quality matches including a marquee clash between India and Pakistan in New York on 9th June 2024.
It promises to be an exciting event with the USA hosting a major ICC tournament for the first time along with West Indies as co-host.
Elite Umpires– Chris Brown, Chris Gaffney, Kumar Dharmsena, Richard Illingworth, Adrian Holdstock, Micheal Gough, Allahudien Parkar, Richard Kettleborough, Jayaram Madangopal, Nitin Menon, Sam Nogajski, Ahsan Raza, Rashid Riaz, Paul Reifel, Langton Rusere, Shahid Sakat, Rod Tucker, Alex Wharf, Joel Wilson, Asif Yaqoob.
Match Referee– David Boon, Jeff Crowe, Ranjan Madugalle, Andy Pycroft, Richie Richardson, Javagal Srinath.
They would be looking to give their best in this mega event and provide some great umpire skills.
