He is presently with the Indian squad in Antigua, gearing up for the forthcoming 2024 T20 World Cup Super 8 in shape against Bangladesh. The two Asian groups will face off on Saturday, June 22, on the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua.
The Rohit Sharma-led group remains undefeated within the tournament, having received all 3 group stage matches and starting their Super 8 campaign with a clean win in opposition to Afghanistan on Friday
Before the Bangladesh match, Mohammed Siraj shared a video on his official Instagram handle, showing his batting practice to the fans. In the video, he became visible refining his large-hitting skills, which could prove precious for India in low-scoring games.

Mohammed Siraj was replaced by Kuldeep Yadav in India’s playing XI vs Afghanistan
Team India used three frontline pacers in all three group stage matches, as the New York pitches favored fast bowlers. However, upon reaching the West Indies for the Super 8 stage, they adjusted their strategy by replacing Siraj with left-arm leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav to bolster their spin attack.
Although Siraj performed decently in the three matches he played, he was dropped from the XI due to the stronger performances of Arshdeep Singh, who brings variety with his left-arm angle. Discussing this with ESPNcricinfo, former India captain Anil Kumble said (via Hindustan Times):
“I think the way he (Arshdeep) bowled so far, and also the way he can bowl in different areas in the T20 game, I think certainly puts him ahead of Mohammed Siraj. If at all India takes that option of going with just the two seamers and Hardik Pandya. So yes, in that sense, plus he also gives you an extra variety with his left arm pace.”
