Young wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan was among the 15-member squad named for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2021 on Wednesday, slated to commence on October 17. In the wake of it, Ishan’s IPL franchise Mumbai Indians’ teammates came down to congratulate the cricketer.
Meanwhile, currently, Ishan Kishan is in the UAE gearing up for the second phase of IPL 2021, which will start from September 19. Soon after the announcement, Mumbai Indians’ cricketers came down to wish Ishan, which was later shared on their social media handle.

Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan made his debut earlier this against England. He has impressed with his hard-hitting batting skills which also pushed his selection ahead of veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan, a report in Sportskeeda suggests.
“The selectors and management came to a decision that Shikhar’s conservative batting approach might not serve the team’s purposes and that has cost him a spot in the squad.
Instead, Ishan Kishan has been picked as the third opener, and his fearless style of batting is being preferred over Dhawan. Management is clear that India cannot win T20 games with a conservative batting approach,” the source said.
