The Indian Cricket Team registered an impressive performance winning the match by 5 wickets against England in the fourth test match played at JSCA Stadium, Ranchi finished on the fourth day. Joe Root climbed up to number 3 in the test batter rankings. He looked impressive with a brilliant 122 not out that helped England post 353. His performance in the second innings did not contribute many runs. England could not register a victory in the fourth test despite his efforts, losing by 5 wickets.

The stylish left-handed batter Yashasvi Jaiswal had a brilliant outing in the fourth test match with a made 73 in the first innings contributing with well 37 in the second innings that helped India lay a strong foundation adding on 84 runs for the opening wicket chasing down 192 runs to win.

Daryl Mitchell slips one place down to number 4th in the rankings. He would have a chance to climb up as New Zealand would face Australia in two test matches series against Australia that would take place from 29th February onwards. Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam also slips one place down to number 5th in the rankings. Usman Khawaja remains static at number 6th.

Dimuth Karaunate climbs one place up to number 7th in the batter rankings. Marnus Labuschagne moves to number 8th going 2 places and has a chance to move up more as Australia would face NZ in the 2-match Test series starting from tomorrow onwards.

Virat Kohli also slips down to 9th in the batting rankings as he did not feature in any of these test matches against England. Harry Brook slips down to number 10th.

Yashasvi Jaiswal climbs to number 12th in the test rankings with great performances in the fourth test at Ranchi. Dhurv Jurel scored 90 and an unbeaten 39 in match match-winning effort against England helping Team India win the match by 5 wickets sealing the series. For his efforts, Jurel was named Player of the Match award.

In the bowling front, R Ashwin moved closer to the number 1 spot with a five-wicket haul in the second innings at Ranchi as Bumrah did not feature in the fourth test.
