Team India are currently in Australia for the upcoming mega event – T20 World Cup. Amid this, they celebrated the birthday of their key all-rounder, Hardik Pandya in Perth. The 29-year-old allrounder is expected to play a crucial role in India’s World Cup campaign when they start the campaign against Pakistan on October 23.
However, the veteran all-rounder had a wonderful outing this year when he came back from injury and led the Gujarat Titans to their maiden IPL 2022 title. He finished the IPL 2022 season with 487 runs and eight wickets to his name as well while leading a side for the first time.
However, his amazing show in the IPL helped him prior to his international return. He made his successful return to Team India during the T20I series against South Africa in June as well. He also featured in the Asia Cup in September 2022 and now, Pandya is all set to take part in the marquee event – T20 World Cup.
Meanwhile, BCCI shared a few pictures where a number of his teammates were seen as Pandya cut his birthday cake. BCCI posted on Twitter with the caption:

Hardik Pandya played a key role in the warm-up game
Hardik Pandya played a key role in the warm-up match against Western Australia. Suryakumar Yadav continued his good form as Team India had a great outing against Western Australia Cricket Association XI, beating the hosts by 13 runs in its first practice game prior to the T20 World Cup as well.
Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant opened the innings for the visitors alongside Rohit Sharma. But it was Suryakumar, whose 35-ball 52 made headlines for the Indian innings as fans enjoyed his free-flowing shots.
He hit three fours and as many sixes during his stay in the middle and the pace and bounce of the track didn’t trouble him as well. He is likly to play a crucial role for the side as well.
