On the eve of the third T20I against Afghanistan, Team India players underwent intense net practice. Having already secured the series with victories in Mohali and Indore, the final match will take place at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday, January 17.

Shivam Dube has been a standout performer, contributing significantly with two aggressive half-centuries while batting at No. 4 and also providing a valuable medium-pace bowling option, serving as a backup for the injury-prone Hardik Pandya.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma has faced challenges in the batting department, experiencing consecutive ducks in both matches. He will be keen to score some runs on Wednesday to rediscover his form in the T20 format.

BCCI posted images on Instagram, offering fans a sneak peek into the Indian team’s practice session in Bengaluru before the 3rd T20I. Rishabh Pant, training at NCA for rehabilitation, joined his teammates, marking a reunion. The caption accompanied the post.

“Preps in full swing for the 3rd & Final #INDvAFG T20I 🙌 P.S. – #TeamIndia had a special visitor in the nets today .”

“I feel he will try to bat similarly”- Aakash Chopra forecasts the strategy Rohit Sharma will adopt in the 3rd T20I against Afghanistan

Aakash Chopra, the ex-Indian opener, recently examined Rohit Sharma’s dismissals in the current series against Afghanistan. Chopra believes that despite facing setbacks, Sharma, known for his aggressive style, may stick to his ultra-aggressive approach.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Chopra expressed this view: “The way Rohit batted in the first two matches, it seemed like he was adopting an ultra-aggressive mode, that he would try to hit every ball and do that without getting set. He got run out once. There, too, he hit Fazalhaq Farooqi after stepping out and got out off the first ball in Indore.”

He added: “You ask whether he will be seen batting slightly differently in Bengaluru. I feel he will try to bat similarly. Rohit Sharma is at his very best when he is aggressive. He showed that by doing it consistently in the ODI World Cup as well. It made a difference in the end.”
