IND vs AUS: India Players Celebrate Holi Ahead Of The 4th Test Match.

The whole Indian team was seen enjoying Holi in the bus ahead of the 4th Test match against the Australian side to be played in Ahmedabad on 9 March 2023.

Both the Indian team and the Australian team practised before the all-important Test match. India needs to win the 4th Test match to qualify directly for the World Test Championship finals without depending upon the Sri Lanka-New Zealand series.

It was a disappointing performance by the Men in Blue side during the 3rd Test match. Indian batters struggled badly being dismissed for 109 runs in the first innings after opting to bat first. They conceded a lead of 88 runs. Indian batters looked out of sorts on a tough pitch as they could only post 163 runs in the 2nd innings.

The pitch at Ahmedabad will be a mystery as there are two pitches prepared for this encounter. After opting to bat first, the Indian failed miserably as the pitch turned in the first session. Matt Kuhlmann created enough pressure with his maiden five-wicket haul along with Nathan Lyon grabbing 3, and Todd Murphy 1. Virat Kohli made 22 runs in the first innings.

The second innings was a disappointing effort as Cheteshwar Pujara made gritty 59 runs that helped Team India register the lead.

Indian team would be hoping for a dominating performance in the 4th Test. The pitch will be an interesting debate as Australian captain Steve Smith also inspected the 22-yard.

Indian top order needs to fire

The Indian top order struggled badly in the third Test match at Indore. Rohit Sharma struggled against the Australian spinners being dismissed cheaply by Kuhemann in the first innings. He could not handle the spin of Nathan Lyon. Shubman Gill made a comeback into the playing XI but was dismissed cheaply in both innings.

India needs their star batters like Pujara, Gill, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer to fire to put pressure on the Australian batting. They need all-round effort if they need to qualify for the World Test Championship finals against Australia to be played on 7th June at Oval, London.
