The much-anticipated England tour of India five test series is about to start with the first match of the series that would begin on 25^th January 2024 at Hyderabad. England team arrived at Hyderabad for the first test match.

Since the last two Test series, the England team suffered humiliating losses on Indian soil with a whitewash during the 2016 Test series. Under the captaincy of Joe Root, they won the first Test at Chennai before losing the next three test matches during the 2020-21 series.

Indian team has been announced for the first two Test matches at Hyderabad and Vizag. On the other hand, Harry Brook will not take part due to personal reasons while Dan Lawerence has been named as his replacement.
