Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has returned to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for rehabilitation. He suffered a hamstring injury during the first Test against England at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the second Test which is set to take place in Vishakhapatnam. He returned to the National Cricket Academy to recover from injury. His progress will be monitored by the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) medical team. Ravindra Jadeja took to Instagram to share that he has returned to the National Cricket Academy. The all-rounder wrote, “Home for next few days.”

Ravindra Jadeja took five wickets in the first Test against England in Hyderabad. He played a key role in dismissing the opposition for 246 runs in the first innings. He also slammed 87 runs in the Indian first innings. The all-rounder was run out in the second innings, which proved to be a crucial point of the match. England won the test by 28 runs as they defended 230 on the final day.

India names replacements for the second Test

Along with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul has also been ruled out of the second Test against England. The Indian selectors on Monday, January 29 named three additions to the team ahead of the Vizag Test. Washington Sundar has been added to the team, while Sarfaraz Khan and Saurabh Kumar have received their maiden Test call-ups. Virat Kohli, who missed the first Test, will be unavailable for the second match as well.
