Team India cricketer Shubman Gill pulled off an absolute stunner during the first session of the fifth test against England on Thursday, March 7 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. His outstanding effort sent Ben Duckett back to the pavilion cheaply.
England skipper Ben Stokes won the toss and opted to bat first. Ben Duckett opened the innings along with Zak Crawley. The duo got the visitors off to a good start, putting on a fifty-run opening stand. However, Duckett was soon dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav for 27 runs.
In the 19th over, Kuldeep Yadav bowled a googly to Ben Duckett, who decided to whack the delivery on the leg side. He got a thick top edge as the ball went into the air. Shubman Gill who was at cover ran sideways to his right. He put in a brilliant dive and took a fantastic catch. It left the fans as well as the commentators on-air in awe.
