The new selection committee of BCCI announced the limited overs series squad against New Zealand including 3 ODIs and 3 T20I matches starting from 18th January 2023.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli has been rested from the T20I squad. Prithvi Shaw has been recalled into the T20I squad after superb 379 runs knock in Ranji Trophy match against Assam. KS Bharat is the only wicketkeeper named in the ODI squad.

Axar Patel and KL Rahul will not be there due to family reasons. Hardik Pandya will continue to lead the T20I series against New Zealand. The ODI squad includes Shahbaz Ahmed, and Shardul Thakur. Rohit Sharma will lead the side with the rest of the squad remaining the same as it was against Sri Lanka.

India will start the 3-match ODI series against visiting New Zealand side on 18th January at Hyderabad, the 2nd ODI at Raipur on 21st January, and the 3rd ODI on 24th January in Indore.

After the 3-match ODI series, the focus shifts to 3 match T20I series on the 27th in Ranchi, the 29th in Lucknow, and the final T20I on the 1st Feb in Ahmedabad.

Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan (WK), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Surya Kumar Yadav, KS Bharat (WK), Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar, Shahbaz Ahmed, Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Mohammad Siraj, Umran Malik.

T20I squad for the New Zealand series:

Ishan Kishan (WK), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, Rahul Tripathi, Surya Kumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Hardik Pandya (C), Jitesh Sharma (WK), Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, Shivam Mavi, Mukesh Kumar.

The much-awaited Test series between India and Australia will start on 9th Feb. BCCI announced the test squad for the first two matches of the series.

Ishan Kishan has been called into the squad as a wicketkeeper along with KS Bharat. Surya Kumar Yadav also made it into the squad due as he delivered in Ranji Trophy matches he played for Mumbai this year.

Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Surya Kumar Yadav, KS Bharat (WK), Ishan Kishan (WK), R Ashwin, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat.

The first Test match will be played on 9th Feb in Nagpur while the 2nd encounter will be played in New Delhi on 17th Feb. Ravindra Jadeja’s inclusion into the team is subject to fitness.
