India Climb To The Second Spot In The Latest ICC T20I Rankings

India is now the second-ranked team in the latest ICC T20I team rankings. Australia after losing the T20I series by 3-2 against New Zealand slipped to number 3. England continues to be the number 1 ranked T20I side with 275 rating points.

India at second currently have 268 points and are just one point ahead of Australia. The men in blue will have an opportunity to consolidate their rankings in the 5 matches T20I series against England. If Virat Kohli and his men can defeat England by 4-1 in the series then they will overtake England in the ICC T20I team rankings.

India is now the number 2 ranked side in the ICC T20I rankings 

Eoin Morgan and his men will be striving to win the challenging series against India and remain the number T20I side in the world. They are currently 7 points ahead of number 2 ranked India but it can all change if they lose the 5 matches T20I series. The T20I series between India and England will begin tomorrow at Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, Pakistan and New Zealand complete the top five in the T20I rankings. Pakistan defeated South Africa at home by 2-1 whereas New Zealand also won at home against Australia. Pakistan at 4 currently have 260 points and New Zealand are with 253 points in the latest ICC T20I team rankings.

Aaron Finch moves to second place in the ICC T20I batsmen rankings 

Talking about the players T20I rankings, Australian skipper Aaron Finch is now the number 2 ranked batsman after his two fifties against New Zealand. Behind him is India’s KL Rahul at 3 with 816 points and he will have a chance to go ahead of Finch in the T20I series against England. The other Indian batsman ranked in the top 10 in the T20I rankings is Virat Kohli. The India captain is in the 6th position with 697 points.

As far as the bowlers ICC T20I rankings are concerned Rashid Khan continue to be at the number 1 spot. Australia spinner Ashton Agar after an impressive show against New Zealand has climbed 4 spots and is now at the number 4 spot. Surprisingly no India bowler is in the top 10 as Washington Sundar is the highest-ranked India bowler at number 13 in the ICC T20I rankings for bowlers.
