Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja recently made bold claims, saying that India were not able to digest Pakistan’s success and had to make changes in their playing XI.

Ramiz was recently sacked as PCB chief in the wake of Babar Azam and Co. suffering a humiliating 3-0 Test series loss at the hands of England at home. The Pakistani government appointed Najam Sethi in Raja’s place.

Ramiz Raja praised Pakistan’s performance in white-ball cricket in recent times and said it was his team’s stunning show in limited-overs cricket that forced India to make wholesale changes in their setup.

“We gave outstanding performances in white-ball cricket. We played in the Asia Cup final; India didn’t play in that. India, a billion-dollar industry, was left behind. Tod phod hui, unhone apna chief selector, selection committee fire kar di, captain badal diye kyunki unko hazam nahi hua ki Pakistan unse kaise aage nikal gaya. (They fired their chief selector, their selection committee, and changed the captain because they couldn’t digest how Pakistan went ahead of them),” Ramiz told Suno TV.

“This is just like France firing their entire board” – Ramiz Raja opens up on his sacking

Speaking further about his tenure as PCB chairman, Ramiz Raja stated that it was like France’s situation that the entire board was removed despite playing the ICC T20 World Cup final.

“This is just like France firing their entire board even after they played in the FIFA World Cup final,” he concluded.

The departing PCB chairman also launched a scathing attack on Najam Sethi and his management, saying that the new head has never held a bat in his hand and termed his own removal as a political conspiracy.
