India Set For Six-Match White-Ball Tour Of Bangladesh In September 2026

Team India is scheduled to tour Bangladesh later this year for a comprehensive white-ball series spanning August and September. According to ESPNcricinfo, the Men in Blue will feature in three ODIs and three T20Is. This announcement comes after the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) revealed its complete 2026 calendar on Friday, January 2, which includes four Tests, 12 ODIs, and nine T20Is.

This will mark India’s first visit to Bangladesh since the 2022/23 tour, where Rohit Sharma’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat in the ODIs. It was their second consecutive series loss in Bangladesh, following a 2-1 defeat under MS Dhoni in 2015. The Shubman Gill-led squad will aim to reverse this trend in 2026 as they gear up for the 2027 World Cup.

Interestingly, India has never played a T20I series in Bangladesh. The two teams last met in October, when Suryakumar Yadav’s side completed a 3-0 whitewash at home.

India will kick off 2026 at home with a three-match ODI series and five T20Is against New Zealand. Following this, the defending champions will host the 2026 T20 World Cup, succeeded by the Indian Premier League (IPL). As reported by the Hindustan Times, India is set to face Afghanistan in a one-off Test and three ODIs at home after the IPL in June.

Next, the team will tour England for a five-match T20I series and three ODIs in July, before heading to Sri Lanka for a two-Test series as part of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle. As mentioned, India will then visit Bangladesh in August for three ODIs and three T20Is.

During the late monsoon months, India will play three T20Is against Afghanistan, followed by three ODIs and five T20Is versus the West Indies at home in September and October. In this period, the defending champions will also compete in the 2026 Asian Games.

India’s final tour of 2026 will be a comprehensive series in New Zealand, featuring two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is in October and November. The year will conclude with the white-ball team hosting Sri Lanka for three ODIs and three T20Is.
