Australia would look to take revenge for the previous two test series losses. Both teams will meet for the first time after the 2023 ICC World Test Championship finals played at Oval, London last year.

India is currently the holder of the Border Gavaskar series. They won the test series at home last year by 2-1. The schedule of this series has not been announced yet, but the venues for the marquee five-match bumper India tour of Australia season will take place.

Australia will start the Test series at Optus Stadium, Perth, they have an impressive record at this venue. According to WA Today, Adelaide Oval would host the second test match which would be a day-night fixture.

The third test match will be played in Brisbane. Australia lost their first encounter at Brisbane in 2021 before West Indies stunned the host in 2024. Australia will host India for the fourth test match to be played at MCG from 26th December known as Boxing Day. After this, the final test match would be played at SCG to finish the series.
