Team India will lock horns with Bangladesh in a two-match Test series starting on December 14, 2022, in Chattogram. It will be a part of the 2021/23 ICC Test Championship cycle.
India is currently at the No.4 spot in the points table and will be important series if they need to have any chances of qualifying for the finals. On other hand, Bangladesh does not have a chance as they are currently in the last position.
The Indian team has a great record in Test matches against Bangladesh and would look to continue. KL Rahul will lead the side in the absence of Rohit Sharma. Saurabh Kumar and Navdeep Saini replace Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja.
Jaydev Unadkat has been recalled into the Test squad after a gap of 12 years. Abhimanyu Easwaran has been named as a replacement for Rohit Sharma. The Indian team would show their performances on good batting pitches and keep their chances alive of reaching their second successive finals.

The first Test match will be played on December 14 in Chattorgam while the second Test match will take on December 22 at Sher E Bangla Stadium in Dhaka.
Indian team would be hoping for a dominating performance in the Test series and gain confidence ahead of the home Test series against Australia to be played next year.
