The dates for the tournament were confirmed a few days ago and it is organized by the Probability sports private limited, a consortium of IIFL and Wizcraft.
This edition will feature six teams and the invitation for the bids were already given. It is to be noted the tournament has been approved by MCA.
Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the inaugural edition of the Mumbai T20 league.

“It”s always a pleasure to be associated with the Mumbai Cricket Association. The T20 Mumbai League will not only entertain cricket fans but also provide a great platform to the talented young cricketers in Mumbai,” Tendulkar was quoted as saying in a media release.
Sachin Tendulkar will now have a great role to play here for the promotion and grab the attention of the crowd towards the league.
Once the league ends, he will join the Mumbai Indians side for his role as a mentor.
He will be an integral part in motivating the players-CEO, Probability sports

The league will commence on March 11 and spans till March 21.
