India”s World Cup hero likely to become India”s bowling coach :- ” I”m thankful to my nation since this young boy from Srirampur was given a chance to live his dream “, Zaheer Khan said around an year ago as he announced retirement from International cricket. Since then, things have not been going Zaheer”s way.

In 2016, Delhi Daredevils didn”t really get anywhere under his captaincy. 2017 wasn”t the year for his side either. Clearly his bowling figures were not upto the mark. You can”t blame the champ. He is nearly 40 and you don”t see too many quickies make it that far. The end of IPL-10 marked the end of Zaheer Khan”s cricketing career. However, this opens up other opportunities for the lad.

Harbhajan Singh sees a potential bowling coach in Zaheer Khan, as he voiced his opinion on twitter.

On a message on social media, Harbhajan wrote,”@ImZaheer would be the best option for indian fast bowling coach in my opinion..Great mind #Greatfella”. Not just Bhajji but Dhoni also once called Zaheer ” The Sachin of Indian bowling ” .

The good news is Zaheer Khan is all heads up for this job. “I am open to it. I have already been advising the boys, so yes, I am open,” he stated.

Zaheer Khan , who led Delhi Daredevils in the IPL last season, said,”Coach has a bigger responsibility in the game even though it’s up to the players to perform. “It doesn’t matter whether the coach is a former bowler or batsman. All that counts is experience,” he added.

Zaheer Khan has impressive international records. He has played 92 Tests and 200 ODI matches, with 311 and 282 wickets respectively.
