Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) injury squad list for IPL 2018 gets bigger and bigger. In a recent development, the foot injury to the young sensation, fast bowler Kamlesh Nagarkoti has come out as a big blow to the men in golden. The tera-way 18-year-old quick has been ruled out of the IPL due to a foot injury.

If reports are to be believed, Nagarkoti had picked up an injury just before the start of the tournament and was absent in the two practice games as well.

As a replacement, Karnataka fast bowler Prasidh Krishna will join the Kolkata Knight Riders today in place of injured Kamlesh Nagarkoti for the VIVO IPL 2018. Krishna has represented Karnataka in domestic cricket and this will be his first stint in the VIVO IPL.

The replacement bowler, Prasidh played his maiden first-class for Karnataka against the Bangladesh-A side in 2015. He had an impressive first-class debut as he picked up a five-for in that game.

The right-arm pacer from then has featured in 19 List A games and has picked up 33 wickets. He was also a part of Karnataka”s squad in the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Suffering from quite a few injury blows, this news has once again come as a disappointment for the franchise.

KKR had invested heavily in young Nagarkoti on the back of the promise young lad showed in the recent U-19 World Cup where he was instrumental in India winning the title. He was picked up by KKR for a hefty Rs 3.2 crore in the auction.

KKR has not been helped by these injuries along with R Vinay Kumar”s poor bowling form. All hopes of the team will now rest on the shoulders of youngsters Tom Curran and Shivam Mavi when Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their next fixture.
