Reports suggest that CSK matches might be moved out of their home owing to the protests that have been prominent in Chennai for quite some time now.

The protest is due to the ongoing water dispute between the two neighbouring states Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

The political parties and several groups in Chennai have been protesting as the centre has not taken any step for setting up “Cauvery Management Board”. However, the IPL governing council and BCCI are having an eye on the events happening in TN and Chennai.

If situations worsen, then the matches are likely to shift to Trivandrum or Kochi.

Reports suggest that KS Viswanathan, the CEO of Chennai Super Kings held talks with Jayesh George, the secretary of Kerala Cricket Association. But they have ruled out the speculations regarding the change of venue.

Viswanathan said “I met him (George) in Mumbai yesterday (Saturday), and chatted for a while. But there was no discussion on shifting our matches to Kerala”

Yesterday, CSK announced their return in style by winning the opener against Mumbai Indians by one wicket. It was the first instance where Chennai won the match by just one wicket.Bravo”s heroics played a major role in this win and he was awarded the MOM.

As of now, the officials have confirmed that the M. A Chidambaram stadium at Chennai will be ready to host the match against Kolkata on April 10.
