Chris Morris, the star South African all-rounder has been ruled out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League. Morris, who had been retained by the Delhi franchise prior to IPL auctions, suffered a back injury that made him sit out for a couple of games.

Morris felt gutted to leave the squad as he wasn”t able to give his “brutality” with the bat and ball the squad needed to form him. He took his Twitter handle to announce his departure

His fellow countryman Junior Dala has been announced as his replacement and is already a part of Delhi camp now.

Junior Dala, who troubled Indian batsmen in the three-matches T20I series has been phenomenal with his accuracy and line. His presence will surely add strength to the squad.

Yesterday, Delhi won the match against Kolkata Knight Riders by 55 runs. Lead by Shreyas Iyer, Delhi looked so threatening in their approach and posted a total of 219/4 in 20 overs.

Dala is expected to join the likes of Boult and Plunkett but it will be interesting to see who will make way for his place in the playing XI. Delhi will play their next match against Chennai Super Kings on Monday, April 30 at their new home MCA stadium, Pune.
