Kolkata Knight Riders have been phenomenal in this edition of IPL. The new captain, young Indian middle order, Narine”s blitz are few of the positives they can take from the two matches they have played. Out of the box, Andre Russell returned to his form by a scintillating knock of 88* against CSK at Chepauk.
Meanwhile, to add positivity to the squad, the franchise roped in Abishek Nayar as their mentor. Abhishek Nayar, ex-Mumbai Indians player and a sports analyst for quite some time has been the personal mentor of Dinesh Karthik till date.
Karthik even thanked Abishek for shaping his hitting skills after Nidahas trophy success in the final against Bangladesh.
With his experience, it will interesting to see the youngsters” uprising in the squad and the role he plays in grooming them into a matured batsman.
Venky Mysore, the CEO of Knight riders took his Twitter handle to make this announcement.
