Chennai Super Kings will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in a key clash in Dubai tonight, kick-starting the second phase of the league stage in match 29. With just two wins from the first seven games, CSK are currently in the seventh position in the points table.

Tonight is another key battle against the Sunrisers. Ahead of the game, former Australian spinner Brad Hogg has suggested some key changes for the three-time IPL champions. MS Dhoni and his men have found it hard to win games this season. Importantly, they have lost four games chasing, which was their strength over the years in the competition.

The first suggestion that Brad Hogg has come up with is to promote Sam Curran at number three instead of Ambati Rayudu. He says that a left-hander at the top of the order will be a good way to have a left-right combination. Also, he believes a promotion will allow Curran to play with a bit of freedom.

“I would bring Sam Curran from the lower order up to No.3. That left-hander would break all the right-handers that you have got at the top of the order. And he can also play with a little bit of freedom as he has done with a lot of T20 franchises around the world as well as England,” Brad Hogg said in a video uploaded on his YouTube channel.

Brad Hogg Wants Imran Tahir In Place of Dwayne Bravo

In his second change for CSK, Brad Hogg has backed the franchise to include Imran Tahir in the XI instead of the veteran Dwayne Bravo. The former Aussie cricketer feels that the CSK line-up is short of quality spin attack which he why he suggests this change.

CSK has been playing with Karn Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja for a few matches which have not yielded the desired results.

“I will bring in Tahir instead of Bravo. Sorry Bravo, you are one of my favourites but you need more spin in your line-up if you are going to make inroads going forward. I will keep Jagadeeshan in the team as well. It is great to see an up and coming cricketer from Tamil Nadu playing for the Chennai Super Kings,” said Brad Hogg.

Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Chennai Super Kings by seven runs in the first game between the two sides at the same venue.
