Trent Boult was always going to be a threat for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2020 final. Marcus Stoinis was once again trusted to open the innings and neutralize the threat of Boult and Bumrah against the new ball.
The DC all-rounder had been in terrific batting form this season and MI needed his wicket early. This is what exactly happened as Boult delivered an absolute ripper and sent Stoinis packing for a golden duck.’

Stoinis was probably expecting a fuller delivery but Boult was once step ahead of him. The left-arm seamer dragged his length back which surprised Stoinis. Eventually, the ball bounced awkwardly for Stoinis and he could only edge it to Quinton de Kock. The ball at pace swung away from Stoinis and kissed the outside edge of his bat.
De Kock behind the stumps did the rest and completed an easy catch. This was a dream start for MI who are aiming to lift their 5th IPL trophy today. Delhi Capitals skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss at elected to bat first. MI is contesting in their 5th IPL final whereas it is a first for DC.
