Chennai Super Kings succumbed to their seventh loss in this IPL campaign after losing to Rajasthan Royals in Abu Dhabi on Monday (October 19). Their chances of qualifying for the playoffs has taken a hit after this loss. After the loss, MS Dhoni has been at the receiving end from various quarters.
One of them who has heavily criticised his (MS Dhoni’s) tactics is former Indian skipper Kris Srikkanth. He literally tore into the CSK skipper for the tactics that he has applied throughout the season. He said that he won’t accept and stand by the answers MS Dhoni gave in the post-match chat where he reasoned why the team has been well below par this season.

“Come on, this is all ridiculous, I will not accept his answers today. By going on and on about the process, CSK’s tournament is going to end” said Kris Srikkanth toIndia Today.
Kris Srikkanth slams MS Dhoni
Kris Srikkanth further criticised MS Dhoni for not backing the youngsters in the side this season. The CSK skipper said that the youngsters did not ‘show the spark’ this season, which is why they played with all the senior players in the side.
“A guy like Jagadeesan… you’re saying youngsters don’t have spark, does Kedar Jadhav have spark? Did Piyush Chawla show spark? “By saying that they will give opportunities from now to youngsters… come on, Jagadeesan showed some spark,” Srikkanth said slamming MS Dhoni’s ‘lack of spark comment‘.
The former Indian skipper further spoke on MS Dhoni’s rigidity on following the process, one which has not yielded results this season. Seeing Dhoni blaming the youngster’s inability to rise to the occasion, Kris Srikkanth said,
“I won’t accept what Dhoni is saying. This talk of process, process… I won’t agree with that. You’re talking about process, but the process of selection itself is wrong.”
This loss almost puts CSK out of contention in the race for the playoffs. Even if they will all their remaining games, CSK will end with 14 points in the league stage, which might not be enough.
