We have seen Faf Du Plessis take some stunners in the IPL in the past and in the IPL 2020 opener he took another similar catch to dismiss well-set batsman Saurabh Tiwary. He kept his balance on the long-on boundary to hold onto a tough catch off the bowling of Ravindra Jadeja.
Tiwary, who was well set on 43 off 31 balls was dismissed on the 15th over of the Mumbai Indians innings. Jadeja tossed the ball up to Tiwary who took the bat and wanted to hit the ball over mid-on. He timed the ball well, however, he found Faf Du Plessis plucking the ball out of thin air to bring an end to his innings. You can watch the video below.

Jadeja also dismissed Hardik Pandya in the same over. While Tiwary was out on the first ball of the 15th over, Pandya was dismissed off the last ball. Both the catches were taken by Faf Du Plessis.
Those two wickets helped CSK halt the run-scoring of Mumbai Indians. Earlier in the game, CSK won the toss in the IPL 2020 opener and asked MI to bat first.
Mumbai lost all their five matches in IPL 2020 in the UAE and have a record to set straight in the all-important decider. Meanwhile, the CSK spin contingent is making run-scoring difficult for Mumbai batsmen.
Skipper Rohit Sharma, who opened the batting scored only 12 off 10 balls as his IPL 2020 campaign started on a bad note. CSK are playing with Ravindra Jadeja and Piyush Chawla as the two specialist spinners in the side.
Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar and Lungi Ngidi have been costly for CSK.
