The Chennai Super Kings vs  Mumbai Indians match has been all about surprises. From Pattinson to Tiwary we’re seeing a totally new lookout of the Mumbai squad. After having a brisk start Mumbai lost both their openers under 50.

Little did we know that a collapse was bound to take place. This is when MS Dhoni plucked a low catch to dismiss Krunal Pandya off the bowling off Lungi Ngidi.

MS Dhoni Grabs a low catch on the leg side

This event took place in the 16th over when Lungi Ngidi was bowling and Krunal Pandya was batting. That is when Ngidi bowled a short ball down the leg side. Krunal looking to guide it down gets bat on it and Dhoni does the rest behind the stumps.

It didn’t really feel like Dhoni is playing a game after 350+ days as he grabbed a low take. Who will say that Dhoni returned to action after 14 months and is 39-years-old?

As far as the match has been going, Mumbai Indians have collapsed under the tight lines of CSK’s bowlers. With Rohit and De Kock’s attack early on it did look like they would score big but as the openers fell prey to CSK bowlers, the rest of the batsmen followed the same path.

Saurabh Tiwary looked in a different league altogether as he nudged up 42 runs off just 31 deliveries. Many were surprised to see the inclusion of Tiwary in the playing XI but he’s paid off his inclusion. We all thought that Ishan Kishan would get picked ahead of the Jharkhand batsmen but Rohit pulled out a surprise in the form of Saurabh Tiwary.

Both of Mumbai Indians finishing stalwarts, Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya failed miserably as both of them were back in the pavilion under 18 overs. Even the likes of Surya Kumar Yadav and Krunal Pandya failed to capitalize as they headed back to the pavilion on low scores. In the end, MS Dhoni’s decision to bowl first did pay dividends to the Chennai side.
