MS Dhoni was a pleased captain after his side won their last league match against Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2020. Chennai Super Kings ended the season with 3 consecutive wins but missed out on the playoffs spot. CSK were able to take KXIP along with them and convincingly defeated them at Abu Dhabi.

Once again it was the young Ruturaj Gaikwad who stood tall and anchored the run chase. Post the victory Dhoni didn’t take a backward step on spoke his heart out. The CSK skipper admitted that the franchise now needs to change their core group of players and look ahead towards the future.

Also at the Toss, Dhoni gave a piece of happy news to all his devotees regarding his future as a player. When Danny Morrison asked him about the possibility of this being his last match in IPL for CSK. Dhoni was quick to respond and had no hesitation in saying ‘Definitely Not’.

MS Dhoni Reveals Why Players Were Asking For His Jersey

After CSK’s unsuccessful run this season it was assumed that Dhoni might decide to retire before the next season. Even all the opposition players were seen asking Dhoni for his jersey after the conclusion of CSK matches. It seemed it could be the last season for Dhoni and he may decide to hang his boots.

However, Dhoni put a full stop to all the predictions and opinions by confirming that he will surely be back next season. The legendary cricketer also deemed that all the players are wondering that after retiring from international cricket he may not play IPL as well hence was requesting for his CSK jersey.
