The Rajasthan Royals have finally come back on winning ways after they defeated SRH in IPL 2020. Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia produced clutch performances under pressure at Dubai International stadium.

The Royals were grappling in the run chase and it looked almost certain that SRH will record an easy win. However, Tewatia and Riyan Parag had other ideas and stitched together an improbable match-winning partnership.

Riyan Parag wins it for Rajasthan Royals

In the last over, Royals needed 2 from 2 balls with Parag facing Khaleel Ahmed. The 18-year-old held his nerves and finished it off in style. Riyan Parag deposited the ball in the stand and sealed the win with a massive six.

As soon as he hit the winning runs the batsman from Assam was off in a flash to celebrate a thrilling win. Riyan Parag once again performed Bihu dance step which is a traditional dance in his home state.

Speaking of the traditional celebration, Riyan Parag said that this dance form is a native of his birthplace Assam. The youngster also revealed that there were some boys from the eastern parts of India, so wanted to have a bit of fun.

“That’s the Bihu dance, the traditional dance of Assam. Some of the Assamese boys were up there as well, had a bit of fun after the game,” Parag said.

Meanwhile so far the exciting young batsman had a disappointing run in IPL 2020. As a result, he was even dropped from the Rajasthan Royals side in the previous encounter. The Royals kept faith in his ability and again gave him a chance to play his natural game against SRH.

Initially, he took his time and focused on the rotation of strike. Once he saw the required rate climbing up he executed some breath-taking big strokes. At the end along with Tewatia, he took his side home and gave a tribute to all the Assamese with his dance step.

Furthermore, Riyan Parag scored 42 from mere 26 deliveries and his knock included 2 boundaries and 2 sixes. Royals chased down the target of 159 with one ball to spare in the last over. They will now face the Delhi Capitals on 14th October (Wednesday) at Dubai International stadium again.
