Sunrisers Hyderabad lost the opening game of their IPL 2020 campaign against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Dubai by 10 runs. In a dramatic batting collapse, SRH went down from 121 for 3 in the 16th over to being 153 all-out by the 20th.

This helped RCB get off their IPL 2020 season on a winning note. Meanwhile, SRH all-rounder Mitchell Marsh picked up an ankle injury in his spell and had to leave the field. He came back to bat for his team but was dismissed in the very first ball he faced. On his way back to the dug-out Marsh looked in a lot of pain and agony.

Mitchell Marsh Injury Update By David Warner

SRH skipper David Warner, in the post-match presentation, provided an update on the Mitchell Marsh injury. ” A lot of courage for Mitchell (Marsh) to go out there and try. It doesn’t look great for him, can’t put any weight on his leg. Hopefully, it isn’t too bad, it was quite painful for him, so fingers crossed” said Warner as he hailed the efforts of his countryman.

He also spoke about the way, he was dismissed in the game. The ball hit by Jonny Bairstow hit Umesh Yadav’s hands only to hit the wicket at the non-striker’s end. David Warner, unfortunately, was found short of his crease resulting in a run-out.

The match has once again brought about the talking point of team’s over-dependence on their opening pair of Jonny Bairstow and David Warner. SRH lost seven wickets for 32 runs which brought about a 10-run defeat to their team.

Meanwhile, RCB skipper Virat Kohli was happy with the fact that they have managed to win a game while defending a target. He had special praise for his strike bowler Yuzvendra Chahal, whose double-wicket over changed the game around in RCB’s favour.

“It’s amazing and last year we were on the other side of the results. We kept our composure tonight. Yuzi came in and changed the game for us. Tonight he showed that if you have skill, you can get purchase on any wicket. The way he came in and bowled attacking lines, he was the one in my opinion who changed the game” said Kohli on his premier spinner.
