The team management is aware of the situation at Dhoni’s home. Stephen Fleming, while speaking at end of their game against Kolkata Knight Riders, also revealed that the situation is better now. The former Kiwi captain also added that the entire team is beside MS Dhoni and they hope that the situation will get better in the coming days.
“Not a lot of talk about this [Dhoni’s family situation] between the players. But from the management’s point of view, we are well aware of his family’s situation. Support has been set up for his family. I talked with MS and the situation is under control for now. We will monitor the situation for the next few days.
It’s a tough time for everybody, especially in India at the moment. We are spending quite a lot of time talking about care in the wider group of friends and family. The team members have that responsibility to ensure MS [Dhoni] has the support that he needs. We hope his family recovers quickly,” said Fleming after the match.
Sakshi Singh, wife of MS Dhoni took it to Instagram and said, “thank you everyone for your concern. My in-laws are stable and being taken good care of. Your prayers will speed up the recovery.”
