Twitter was all praises for Faf du Plessis while he was playing a dazzling knock against KKR in IPL 2021. The CSK opener took full advantage of a batting paradise at the Wankhede stadium and played some eye-catching strokes.
In the first 10 overs, it appeared that Du Plessis was probably playing a little slow. However, he went into overdrive in the last few overs and smashed KKR fast bowlers to all parts.
Faf du Plessis Plays An Exceptional Knock Against KKR IN IPL 2021
Be it Pat Cummins or Prasidh Krishna nobody had answers against Faf du Plessis tonight. He missed out on a well deserved century but played his part in CSK’s mammoth total. The veteran CSK batsman remained unbeaten on 95 which he scored in 60 balls. There was a lot of fireworks from Du Plessis as his knock included 4 sixes a d 9 boundaries.
Twitter was in awe of his range in the death overs. He played some splendid backfoot shots and didn’t hesitate to pull the scoop shots when the bowlers got fuller to him. He took a special liking to Pat Cummins in the last over as he ended with 58 runs in his 4 overs spell. As they say, form is temporary but class is permanent and Faf du Plessis once again proved that right.
Meanwhile, on the back of his batting masterclass, CSK pilled on the runs in the first half. MS Dhoni’s side has posted 220 runs on the board and KKR will have to bat extremely well to win it.
