As per reports in Cricbuzz, the last two league games of IPL 2021 will be played simultaneously. Both the matches are scheduled now to start at 7.30 pm IST. The final two league games will be played on October 8. Previously the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians game was about to be played at 3.30 pm IST. Now both the games, SRH vs MI and Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Capitals in Dubai will be played from7.30 pm IST.

“In a first for the IPL, the last two league matches before the VIVO IPL 2021 Playoffs will be played concurrently. On the last day of the league stage (08.10.2021) of the ongoing season, instead of having one afternoon match and one evening match, two matches (SRH v MI and RCB v DC) will be played simultaneously at 7.30 PM IST (6.00 PM GST),” BCCI said in a statement.

The BCCI official further confirmed that the announcement of the two news teams for IPL 2022 will be made on October 25. The board will also announce the media rights of the IPL 2023-2027 on that day as well.

IPL 2021: Fight For Last Four Still On

The fight for the last four in IPL 2021 is still very open. Earlier in the day, KKR beat Delhi Capitals in Sharjah to keep their chances alive. CSK, DC and RCB are the teams above Kolkata at the moment in the points table.

In the second match of the night, Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians are fighting it out in Abu Dhabi. With three teams on eight points each and KKR at 10at the moment its a close fight for a last-four finish.
