RCB skipper Virat Kohli is playing his 200th game for the franchise. He announced of stepping down from captaincy after the IPL season. RCB is placed third in the points table at the moment ahead of their game against KKR. However, his stay was brief as he was just dismissed for four in the second over of the game.
Virat Kohli hit Prasidh Krishna for a beautiful cover drive before the ball in which he was dismissed. Krishna bowled much straight and Kohli missed the ball on length which was headed to the stumps.
Virat Kohli Plays His 200th Game For RCB
Kohli dismissal gives a decent reading of the pitch that it’s a little slow and might get slower as the game progresses.160 won’t be an easy chase unless otherwise dew factor comes into play.RCB need to be 41/1 after powerplay to get to 160 or more

Earlier in the game, Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat first. KKR are placed seventh on the points table at the moment as their campaign starts against RCB.
Ahead of the start of RCB’s campaign, Kohli has led the Banglore franchise in 132 IPL games. He has won 60 games and lost 65 games. Four games ended in no-result while three games ended in a tie. Kohli’s win percentage over the years has been less than 50 percent.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli’s call to step down as RCB captain has received mixed reactions. While some welcomed the move, some criticised it. A few days ago, Virat Kohli also announced of stepping down as India’s T20 skipper after the T20 World Cup in UAE.
“This will be my last IPL as captain of RCB. I’ll continue to be an RCB player till I play my last IPL game. I thank all the RCB fans for believing in me and supporting me” said Kohli.
