Delhi Capitals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Super Over in match 20 of IPL 2021. In the process, Delhi have moved upto the second position in the points table while SRH are languishing at number seven, This was the last game played in Chennai which has finished in a Super Over. Chasing 160 to win, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 159/9 with Kane Williamson scoring an unbeaten 66 and playing almost a lone hand after Jonny Bairstow’s 38. All other SRH batsmen including skipper David Warner scored in single digits as SRH struggled. With 16 required to win in the final over, Jagadeesha Suchith scored 14 runs as SRH scraped to level the score and take the score into a Super Over.

Delhi Capitals Win In Super Over

However, they did not have the best of Super Overs. Williamson opened the batting alongside Warner and could only muster 8 runs. Delhi ca[pitals courtesy skipper Rishabh Pant tracked down the score to win the match in the Super Over.

Earlier in the game, Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bat. On a tricky Chepauk wicket, Prithvi Shaw (53) and Shikhar Dhawan (28) started brilliantly and added 81 for the first wicket. The pitch started getting tougher to bat on as the innings progressed and Delhi scored 159/4. Pant’s 37 and Stve Smith’s 34 turned out to be crucial runs in the end.

For SRH, Siddharth Kaul and Rasihd Khan picked up wickts. Bijay Shankat bowled an economical spell of 3 for 19. The IPL 2021 caraven moves now from Chennai to the other cities in the country. Out of the 56 league matches, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata & Bengaluru will host 10 matches each while Ahmedabad and Delhi will host 8 matches each.

As far as these two teams are concerned, SRH will play their next four games in Delhi, followed by two each in Kolkata and Bangalore. Meanwhile, DC four in Ahmedabad and their final five in Kolkata.
