IPL 2021: Match 20 – Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Capitals – Match Prediction

In the 20th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals will lock horns at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Delhi Capitals are on a roll as they have won three out of four games this season. SunRisers Hyderabad registered their maiden win last Wednesday against Punjab Kings. The Orange Army have won a single match out of four encounters.

Some of the personal concerns have bruised Capitals, but under Rishabh Pant’s captaincy, Capitals have flourished well. Shikhar Dhawan, who holds the Orange Cap with 231 runs under his belt, is leading their batting line-up from the front. With eight wickets in four games, Avesh Khan holds a higher rank on the Purple Cap table.

Sunrisers have been impressive in patches. The bowlers have been imposing, especially Rashid Khan and Khaleel Ahmed. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has helped the unit with his prolific spells. However, in four games, the two times Purple Cap winner has three grabbed wickets. Englishman Jonny Bairstow, the leading scorer for SRH, has been masterly with the bat. In four fixtures, he has knocked up two 50+ scores. In their last game, the addition of Kane Williamson to the playing XI gave them extra strength. Without Williamson, their middle-order looked fragile as the batters have had succumbed quickly.

Both SRH and DC have star-studded batters on their sides. Shikhar Dhawan is the Orange Cap table topper, while SRH’s Bairstow is not too far away from Dhawan. David Warner can be a twister on the field with the bat. While Delhi have an immaculate middle-order, SRH would not like to expose their middle-order in the game. For Delhi, Marcus Stoinis, Shimron Hetmyer, and Lalit Yadav are speeding up their middle and lower order alongside Steve Smith and Rishabh Pant. On the other hand, Williamson is the only wizard SRH can rely on after their openers depart. Kedar Jadhav can be a blister, but he has not played a game yet in the 14th edition.

Chennai is a paradise for spinners. Rashid Khan has spun webs around the opponents. The 22-year-old Afghanistan bowler has been SRH’s stalwart since his debut in 2017. But not to forget, Delhi’s Avesh Khan, 24, can assault the batters with his off-cutters.

Match Prediction – Who will win the match?

SRH and DC have crossed swords on 18 occasions, with SRH adding 11 feathers to their cap while DC emerged victorious in seven games. Going into this game, Delhi will start the game as the favourites. However, star leg-spinner Rashid Khan will be a puzzle for them to crack. On the other hand, SRH will assay to win their last leg in Chennai.
