The first game of Saturday’s doubleheader will see defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the DY Patil Sports Academy. Both CSK and SRH are yet to register a win in IPL 2022 and will be desperate to get off the mark.
SRH, under the leadership of Kane Williamson, have fared poorly so far in the tournament. They don’t have the required quality to win matches which can haunt them throughout the season. However, they will hope Nicholas Pooran to fire and lead the team from the front.

On the bowling front, Umran Malik has been all about pace and has lacked proper line and length. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will have to assume more responsibilities if Hyderabad want to trump Chennai.
CSK have struggled to get their combinations right so far in the three matches. The absence of Deepak Chahar due to injury has hurt them badly. However, they will hope the senior cricketers stand up and deliver to pull the four-time IPL champions out of the grave.
