Gujarat Titans will host Lucknow Super Giants in the first match of a doubleheader to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 7 May 2023 in the IPL 2023.
Hardik Pandya led side thrashed Rajasthan Royals in the previous match by 9 wickets while Lucknow Super Giants’ previous match against Chennai Super Kings was washed out due to rain.

He would look to continue his attacking approach in the first six overs against Lucknow Super Giants and help them qualify for the playoff stage.

Kyle Mayers would be looking to showcase his attacking skills in the first six overs against Gujarat Titans. He has been in excellent form of late and showcased brilliant form. During the previous encounter during rain-curtailed match against Chennai Super Kings, Kyle Mayers was dismissed for 14.
Mayers should be looking to provide an aggressive start for Lucknow Super Giants against a strong Gujarat Titans bowling line-up and keep their hopes alive in the absence of KL Rahul.
He has done well for Lucknow Super Giants but is looking to regain his form after a few low scores. If he could score post big, there will be a chance for LSG to win the match against GT.

Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya looked in fine touch during the previous match against Rajasthan Royals. He came to the crease and took the attack to Adam Zampa with some lovely shots to keep pressure.
He was in sensational touch and kept the momentum going for Gujarat Titans after 71 runs opening partnership between Shubman Gill and Saha.
Hardik Pandya would be hoping for another superb knock and lead Gujarat Titans closer to the playoff stage.
