Top 3 Players Who Could Score Most Runs between RCB and MI

Mumbai Indians will host Royal Challengers Bangalore in the reverse fixture to be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 9 May 2023 in the IPL 2023. It promises to be an exciting encounter as both teams would be looking to win and go to number 3 in the points table.

Last time these two sides met during this tournament Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli shared a brilliant opening partnership to give RCB a commanding win.

Mumbai Indians have a strong batting order that can create havoc while Royal Challengers Bangalore has Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell in great form. Mahipal Lomror created some impact with his first half-century against Delhi Capitals.

The pitch at Wankhede Stadium is a great pitch to bat on. Both teams’ batting orders will be eager to do the damage and help their franchise step close to a playoff berth.

Here we look at the 3 Players Who Could Score the Most Runs Between RCB and MI

  1. Faf du Plessis

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis has been in excellent form so far. He is currently at the top of the Orange Cap race with 511 runs and provided brilliant starts along with Virat Kohli.

Faf du Plessis was at his impressive best during the previous match against Delhi Capitals. He would be looking for another brilliant performance with the bat and put enough pressure on the inexperienced Mumbai Indians bowling line-up.

Faf looked in sublime touch when these two sides met at Bengaluru. He would be looking to put enough pressure on the MI bowling line-up on a great batting pitch in Mumbai. If Faf can give a flying start, RCB will look to win their match against MI and go to 12 points. He would look to continue his domination at the top of leading runs scorer helping RCB win matches with his attacking style of batting.

  1. Cameron Green

Cameron Green has done well at number 3 for Mumbai Indians. If Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan can provide an aggressive start to the team, then Green would look to showcase his intent against Royal Challengers Bangalore bowling line-up.

Known for his tall reach, Green can hit big shots and put enough pressure on the RCB bowling line-up. He would be looking to do the damage with his attacking shots. It has been a decent season for Cameron Green in his debut season for Mumbai Indians.

Green will play a key role to help Mumbai Indians make sure that they look to post a big total or chase down whatever target RCB set.

  1. Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli has been in fine form for Royal Challengers Bangalore this season. He completed his 6th half-century off this tournament against Delhi Capitals but did not score at a decent strike rate.

With the pitch at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai suitable for the batters, Virat Kohli would be looking to do damage against MI bowlers struggling for rhythm. He remained not out during the fixture against Mumbai at Bengaluru and hit the winning runs.

Virat Kohli would be looking to produce another brilliant knock opening the innings and make sure that RCB wins the match allowing them to move to the number 3 spot.
