Sunrisers Hyderabad have got a big blow after losing the last match against Delhi Capitals. Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the IPL 2023 with a hamstring injury. The 23-year-old batsman played a crucial part against Delhi Capitals.
He struck thrice in the 8th over including the big fish David Warner. Washington Sundar got a bit emotional in the video posted by SRH on Instagram. The all-rounder has been a vital asset for Sunrisers Hyderabad this season.
The All rounder from Tamil Nadu failed to pick up wickets in the first six games. Washington Sundar also scored 24 in 15 balls against Delhi Capitals. Sunrisers Hyderabad currently sits in ninth position after losing against DC.
Washington Sundar was disappointed for getting ruled out of the tournament. Last year, he missed the T20I world cup after suffering a finger injury in the practice game of the England tour.

Washington Sundar said “Hello Orange Army. It’s really sad and you know, frustrating for me to leave this team at this point. I really enjoyed playing especially at the Uppal, when you guys came in very large numbers.”
He added “You know, it was so heartening to play, especially in that ground and with so much crowd around. I’m sure, I’ll get to play again over there in an orange jersey and obviously but with the whole ground coloured orange. Thank you for everything.”
Now it becomes even harder for Sunrisers to miss on an all-rounder like Sundar. Markram will now become an even more worried captain with his side sitting at 9th position winning just 2 games so far. SRH last won the title in 2016 against Royal Challengers Bangalore, will Markram and his repeat the same?
